Music is absolutely flying at The Maynard this Christmas! Pupils, parents and guests were treated to an exhilarating performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition on Monday by Mr Alfie Pugh – not only an incredibly talented pianist, but also one of our star Maynard piano teachers!

Surrounded by artwork created by Upper 3 (Year 7) pupils who were inspired by his performance of the piece, he brought the piano and musical pictures to life. One audience member shared afterwards, “What a spectacular performance… It’s so enriching for students to experience this level of art up close. A lovely memory to behold.”
