Upper 4 (Year 9) have again been doing a fantastic job of learning languages and stretching their limits in the GCHQ National Language Competition! The competition encourages budding linguists to discover their aptitude for language learning via solving puzzles and scoring points, and in addition to working hard in MFL lessons, Upper 4 have been so keen to step up to the challenge that the library has been regularly abuzz with enthusiasm and competitive spirit from students putting in extra time.

Out of the 2040 teams taking part nationally, our very own amazing Eager Frantic Dragon team (Xiran, Milly and Maya) achieved an exceptional 104th place and are the highest Maynard winners we have EVER had! Huge congratulations to them and very well done to all of Upper 4 for giving it their all!
